Entire states, like the once-familiar New Florida, have been entirely submerged, forcing mass relocations and igniting a dramatic shift in the nation’s geography. Led the art department as an independent contractor for Ronnie Makes a Rocket (2022), securing funding through the VCU Undergraduate Research and Innovation Grant. Oversaw creative materials to stay within budget. Created preproduction designs of characters, costumes, and set displays. Generated animation, poster and logo designs. Responsible for the creation and procurement of film props and backdrops, including rocket design and assembly, laser guns, miniatures, and space settings.
The comic, published by the Communication Arts Honors Studio, invites readers to join Dusty, a descendant of monster hunters, on an adventurous journey to the intriguing monster world, where unexpected twists and turns await. With a team of 14 creatives, played a multifaceted role in the making of the comic. Responsibilities spanned concept art, pencils, flats, and final colors.
